KCTC Announces Expanded Role for Christine Murray
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (January 31, 2025) – The KC Tech Council is excited to announce that Christine Murray's role at the organization has expanded to become the Director of Policy & Workforce Initiatives. In her new role, Christine will spearhead efforts to advocate for KC Tech Council policies at the local, state (Missouri and Kansas), and federal levels. She will work closely with government officials, tech leaders, and community partners to influence policy decisions that support growth and sustainability of the tech sector. Additionally, Christine will oversee workforce development programs, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the tech industry and provide opportunities for individuals to up-skill and access high-quality tech jobs.
With an extensive background in policy advocacy and workforce development, Christine brings a wealth of experience to this pivotal role. Christine has been with the KC Tech Council since September 2022, previously serving as Director of Workforce Initiatives. Prior to joining the organization, Christine worked for over 15 years in government relations, where she successfully led numerous initiatives to promote economic growth and support local businesses.
Christine’s proven track record in policy advocacy, workforce development, and leadership within the tech industry makes her an ideal fit for advancing KC Tech Council initiatives, and we look forward to the positive impact she will continue to make on Kansas City’s tech community.
