KC Tech Council team members and industry leaders from Caliber Financial Services, Garmin, MarksNelson and SnapIT Solutions traveled to Capitol Hill as a part of TECNA's (Technology Councils of North America) DC Fly-In. In serving as the voice of Kansas City's tech industry, we engaged in an array of valuable conversations with policymakers and their staff on critical matters such as research and development tax amortization and H-1B visa reform for high-skilled tech workers.

While there, our delegation shared our perspectives on our top 2023 priorities and policies with FCC Commissioner Geoffrey Starks, Rep. Sharice Davids (KS) and Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (MO), as well as with the offices of Rep. Tracey Mann (KS), Rep. Sam Graves (MO), Sen. Eric Schmitt (MO), Sen. Josh Hawley (MO), Sen. Roger Marshall (KS) and Sen. Jerry Moran (KS).
